Maxine Guy Holcombe, 79, of Inman, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 19, 1932 in St. Pauls, NC, she was the daughter of the late Gary Lee and Sara Della Hicks Guy.
She was an optometrist assistant for Dr. Harold Vigodsky for 27 years, then a cashier at Wal-Mart for 22 years, and a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra McLyea of Inman; stepson, Donnie (Sue) Holcombe of Gaffney; stepdaughter, Nancy (Copper) Pilkington of Pauline; special granddaughters, Amber McLyea of Inman and Angela Bradley of Duncan; other grandchildren; special great-grandchildren, McKenley Bradley, Hayden Bradley, and Matthew Schultz; and brother, Walter R. Guy of Fayetteville, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Robin Leslie Holcombe; stepson, Roy Lee Holcombe; stepdaughter, Judy Milner; four brothers; and five sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor James Cencebaugh. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
