George Wallace O'Sullivan, 91, of 182 Rollingwood Drive, Lyman, died Friday, June 29, 2012. Born February 21, 1921, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late John Droughn and Melina Odella Quinn O'Sullivan and the husband of the late Emma Louise Cudd O'Sullivan. He was self-employed as a general contractor with George W. O'Sullivan Builders for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church, and enjoyed apiculture (beekeeping).
Survivors include daughters, Sharon E. McDonald (Ronald) of Seymour, IN, Cathy L. Toppe of Lyman, and Patricia A. Shelton of Columbus, IN; sons, Larry R. O'Sullivan (Brenda) of Campobello, SC, George A. O'Sullivan of Seymour, IN, and James W. O'Sullivan (Gina) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Minnie Lou Wall of Cannons Campground; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. James B. Carter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Attn: Don Byrum, Commander, 155 Lowe Road, Chesnee, SC 29323.
