Evelyn Fowler Culbreth, 64, of Cowpens died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 6, 1947, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd "Shorty" and Ruby Thrift Fowler and wife of William Boyd Culbreth. Evelyn was a former employee at Pentex and a member of Orchard Street Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, are sisters, Rita Horne of Boiling Springs and Shirley Henderson of Chesnee; brother, Dewey "DC" Fowler of Boiling Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ray Mullinax and the Rev. Ronnie Blackwell. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family is at the home, 1424 Denton Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
