Elsie White Henderson, 91, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Magnolia Place. Born December 18, 1920, in Clifton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Annie Lee Bridges White, and wife of the late Grady Lee Henderson.
Mrs. Henderson was employed for 30 years with Converse Mill, she retired from Hoechst Fibers, and following retirement worked at Lees Famous Recipe Chicken. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
Survivors include her son, Ron Henderson, Sr. and wife Shirley of Chesnee; daughter, Susan H. Valle and husband Alex of Springdale, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry White of Woodruff, SC.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in Sunset Memorial Park, by the Rev. James Cencebaugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God, 561 Upper Valley Falls Road, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
The family is at 1760 Double Branch Road, Cowpens, SC.
