Dina Copses Georgas, 81, of Spartanburg, died Friday, January 27, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 17, 1930, in Arahova, Karyae, Greece, she was the daughter of the late John Peter and Trisevgeni Kerhoulas Kopsiaftis, and wife of the late James "Jimmy" George Georgas.

Mrs. Georgas was the former owner of Demetre's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society. Her bounty includes adoring children and family members, countless friends, and a perennially cultivated garden, both actual and figurative.

Survivors include her daughters, Kiki G. Chaniotakis, whose husband is Konstantine of Glenview, IL, and Teresa Georgas of Spartanburg; son, George J. Georgas, and wife Rhetta of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Konstantina Chaniotakis; brothers, Williams J. "Bill" Copses, whose wife is Loula, and Peter J. Copses and wife Voula, all of Spartanburg; sister, Eleni Kyriazi of Arahova, Greece. She was predeceased by sisters, Demetra Siarris and Panayiota Diangikes.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2012, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church with the Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2012, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, conducted by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Tony Angelakis, Tommy Diangikis, John Copses, Lee Siarris, George Gus Georgas, and Chris Siarris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 1107, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
