Condolence & Memory Journal

Wow, what a loss...I loved Alan as well as his late wife Mrs. Edie...I have sat for hours in the adorandak chairs with Alan and we have conquered ALL the world's problems; had fun discussing "Alan's Ark" and the other sail boat that made one voyage and was sold...We both loved aviation so we had to talk gliders...And I learned a lot about business! WOW what a man and what a legacy...Just realized how much I miss him already...My dad, also 90, has cleaned the swimming pool for many years and had a lot of chair time too...

We love you all and our prayers are with you!

All our love,
The Jackson Family

I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FRIEND AL SILVERMAN. FOR MANY YEARS, HIS BUSINESS HAS BEEN A LIFELINE TO OUT TOWN. WE APPRECIATE HIS COMMITTMENT TO OUR TOWN AND OUR CITIZENS. OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE SILVERMAN FAMILY.

Candle

Mr. Silverman has been a part of my life for the past 34 years. When I first came to work at Wendell Fabrics (in 1981 when I was 17), he would call me 'kid'. Later, when I joined the office staff, I remember seeing him type letters on his trusty typewriter while smoking his cigar. He could be so funny.... and he laughed a lot. He was just a great person to know and I'm grateful to have called him 'friend'. I will surely miss him.

I am so sorry about Al's passing. He was my man! I will deeply miss ordering his cigars that he loved so much. I have been employed at Wendell Fabrics for 42 years. He has been such a part of my life for all these years. I will truly miss him.
