Knew Mr Putnam when I worked in Roebuck at Prydes and Hardees restaurant. If you ever work at a Hardees, you get to know all the older folks. Mr Putnam was a regular customer and great man to get to know. I'm sure Roebuck will miss him greatly.

I worked with "Put" many years ago at the District Six Office. I was in a work study program when I was going to Dorman. I will for ever remember his joking and laughter with all the other men at the office. He always had a smile for everyone.
I am so sad to see that he has passed but comforted knowing his is in heaven. My prayers are with you all at this difficult time in your lives.

Sincerely with Love,

Cynthia Swann

Mrs. Putnam, Mary Ann, and Family:

Sheryl and I are praying that God will provide you with the comfort and guidance needed during this time. I know that Mr. Putnam is in heaven now because he was a wonderful witness of God's love. My mother and father certainly enjoyed the friendship they had with your family while they were alive. It was a privilege to work for him when I lived in Roebuck.

Mary Ann, how do I know you? I'm a '72 graduate of Dorman, but feel like we know each other through work. I'm retired from Dist. 5.

Didn't know your Dad since I attended Fairforest, but sounds like a great man! Sorry for your loss.

I will never forget Mr. M.D.Putnam as my principal while I was in school. One of the wisest men I know. Then after becoming an adult he was always a great friend. He always took time out to talk to me and my family when we would see him out and about. He always gave great advice to my boys as they came through elementary school. He was Grandfather Eagle at Roebuck Elementary. The children loved him! So glad I knew him! Your work is done but you will live on in all of us who were blessed to know you! I am praying for you the family! I pray the Lord will comfort you all in the days to come! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and Godly man with us all! I will never forget him!
