Tribute & Message From The Family


James Harold McDade, 82, of Union, SC, died Monday, January 12, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 2, 1932, in Union, SC, he was the son of the late James Darwin and Ruth Poole McDade.

A graduate of Union High School and a retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force, Mr. McDade was a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church where he was an elder.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Peggy Mabry McDade; son, Mike McDade; grandsons, Jami and Jacob McDade; and great-granddaughter, Haley McDade.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, 6001 Hwy 215, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Dr. B. E. Pettit. Visitation will follow in the Family Life Center. Burial will be in Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 279, Pauline, SC 29374.

The family is at their respective homes.

I served with Jim while I was stationed in Charleston.He rode with me home many times I'd drop him off on my way to Boiling Springs and pick him up on the way back we had some great talks. He was a real friend to a young airman.So sorry for your loss,Wayne

Peggy & family, Judy & I just wanted you to know you're in our thoughts & prayers at this time. I've missed not having our family 'cousins' reunions these past 20 years or so. Jim was such a gentleman and I always enjoyed our time spent with you two. God Bless!
