I just found out about Sean's passing & I'm honestly speechless because he was one of my favorite wrestlers in both WCW & WWE :( Ever since he debuted as a professional wrestler, he managed to catch my attention & so I quickly became a fan of his overnight because of the fact that he had this charisma about him when he would walk down to the ring. I will never forget the impact he made on my life & so I send my most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends & all who got to know this wonderful man who had so much more to offer to the world. R.I.P Sean, my hero <3>

When I hear the name sean o'haire the first thing that pops into my mind is what an amazing wrestler. Second is spiked hair and trench coat. I loved those times he'd come out with the spiked hair and a long black trench coat and trying to get others to do outrageous things, was one of my favorite personas of his, Natural Born Thrillers era was another. Still remember him talking Spanky into streaking. The Seanton Bomb is still one of my favorite finishers and he'd get so much power in it it just looked amazing. The world lost a great man. Another ones now wrestling in the grandest stage of em all and putting on one hell of an amazing show. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May you find all the comfort and peace you need.

I'm an elementary school teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District. Back in 2001 I had a difficult class of third graders. The only way I could connect with them was through our mutual love of wrestling. One rainy day they had to stay indoors for recess, and they all decided they wanted to write letters to my favorite wrestler, Sean O'Haire at that time. I had an email relationship with the webmistress at OVW, and she promised to pass the letters to him. The picture she sent back really made these kids' day, and years later some of them still have it as a prized possession. It didn't take much for him to do this, but I will always remember him as a great man for taking the time, and reading the letters. My sincere condolences to his family.

To the Haire family, I give you my deepest condolences . Sean will be forever missed but never forgotten . It is because of Sean that I am a successful trainer today. He actually talked me into going into personal training (Breakthrough Fitness Center ) and before leaving Hilton Head to pursue his wrestling career , he gave me all of his clients to get me started. I really can't think of anyone in the world who would do such a thing ! Except for Sean Haire . I always believed that his heart was as big as he was . I'll never forget our who had the best abs contests or dance off at The Monkey Business . A peaceful journey to the other side my brother . I pray for strength and healing to the rest of the Haire family .

So sad to hear about this. I'll never forget the time me and my little brother ran into Sean and his sis at the Westgate mall in Spartanburg. It was in 2002.He was my brother's absolute favorite wrestler. I'll never forget the look on his face when Sean walked by us. We couldn't believe it was him. We got a picture with him that my bro kept framed in his room. I wish we'd known he'd lived so close , would've been cool to see him again. My prayers are with the family.

He was one of the most agile big man wrestlers for his size he had it all , I'll always remember that backflip he did in WCW over Kevin Nash s he ran up the top turnbuckle and his Seanton Bomb was cool as heck too.

Sean "Jamie" Haire was much more than a wrestler, fighter or character, He was also someone who cared deeply about the people he loved and wanted to protect them at all costs. Although not all the facts are posted, he was an amazing person who walked away from a child he loved dearly because he was convinced it was best for the boy. We all love you and always have. Posted by Sam    September 11, 2014

"Normally if you go one-on-one with another wrestler you have a fifty-fifty chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak, and I'm not normal. You've got a 25%, at best, of beating me. And then you add in Kurt Angle to the mix, your chances of winning drastically go down. See, the three-way, at Sacrifice, you have a 33 and 1/3 chance of winning, but I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, cause Kurt Angle knows he can't beat me, and he's not even gonna try. So Samoa Joe, you take your 33 and 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance, and you've got an 8 and 1/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice. But then you take my 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and 2/3 percent, I have 141 and 2/3 percent chance of winning at Sacrifice. You see McJoe, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Sacrifice."

Way too soon, Sean. I was introduced to you a few years ago when you were going thru a rough patch in life and you came to one of our shows in town and hung out for a while. Although we didn't have much of a chance to talk, we chatted about some friends we had in common and talked for a few about our lives and our problems and had a drink. We parted with a handshake and a quick hug and I later heard that you left town and headed back to SC. I never would've thought that I would ever hear this news. I am shocked and still digesting this news. My thoughts and prayers to your family and friends...may God Bless them and help them to understand your pain that led to this, and ultimately help them to heal and get back to living their lives.

Rest Peacefully, Sean...

During his visit with us, I found out just how much food a professional wrestler can eat! Needless to say, I didn't have any Thanksgiving left overs! But that's ok, I didn't mind. He made us all laugh with his great sense of humor, too. I took Sean to work out with me at the local YMCA and so many young boys were excited to meet him. Seeing this memory book, it is truly a reflection of your life here on Earth. Lots of love, lots of good times, and even a few jokes here and there from the fans(if you TRULY believe that Bret or Stephanie commented, I have a condo in Somalia I'd like to sell you).

But, this is what you'd want in your passing. Lots of love and laughs. That's exactly what you got.

For a man who looks like someone who you wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley and billed at one time as the Devil's Advocate, you were anything but. Always a kind and generous soul, you always took the time out to chat and hang out with fans and friends alike. I used to see you in the local hangouts when me and my friends would always go to the shows in Charlotte. You always remembered people who were regulars to the shows and even ask how they were doing and checked in.

Sadly, not every wrestler shares this love and care for the fans and some even go so far to downplay and ignore us, even when fans like me were nothing but friendly. But, you were the exception and we all applaud you for it and hold you deep in our hearts.

In the ring, you were tremendous. For a big man, you were as quick as a cat and had the moves of a cruiser weight. There will never be anyone like you ever again.

To everyone who knew him or even crossed paths with him, I extend my prayers, my love, and my condolences.

You were the best, but then again....

I'm not telling you something that you don't already know.....

Sean was a gentle giant. He came to our company years ago to train as a close protection operative and eventually became an employee for a short time and a long time friend. He had such a loving and caring heart and put 100% into anything he set out to accomplish. Our hearts are saddened and we have lost a dear friend and colleague in the industry. He never failed to ask how our dog was when he would call to catch up, we always shared a laugh about Snickers as he once witnessed her attacking a Fed Ex delivery man, she weighed 10 lbs. and sent the guy running and even throwing the package at her, he use to laugh his head off every time when he asked how Snickers was doing.

My deepest sympathies to all the family, friends, and fans of Sean. I was just shocked and so saddened to hear of his passing. I knew him from when he trained here in Louisville with Ohio Valley Wrestling during the years I was a co-webmaster at the time.

My fondest memory of Sean was having him pose for a picture holding fan mail from an elementary school class of children taught by my friend Carol, or "Teach", as I used to call her. I made a sign basically saying "hello" to them that he held along with the fan mail / envelope. Well, he made those kids' day and "Teach" couldn't have been more pleased with such a priceless memento.

I wish I'd been able to talk with him as I'd planned for an online interview, but nonetheless I am thankful I got to know and spend some time with this big, athletic "scary-looking" guy who always nothing but polite and down-to-earth with this girl. :-)

May God bless and rest your soul, Sean - and thank you for the memories.

Jan 23 2003, I was a 20 yr old kid getting a tryout with WWE. My opponent was Sean, and our Agent was Shane McMahon and the pressure was on. Sean was gonna be using a 'Razors edge' finishing move and I got to be the lucky one to practice it. Sean was about to start a new character, and I didnt wanna be the reason it got screwed up for him, so we did that move until we had it right. We had a great match, and the pictures of him from that day are still on my wall. In OVW, he helped me get comfortable and was such a good guy. Fear the Ridge hand, RIP Sean.

This is crazy... Me and my friend literally talked about you being on one of the old wrestling video games just yesterday...

Being an avid fan of wrestling, I have always admired your work Sean. From your days to WCW to WWE, we have seen unhindered progress that could've taken you anywhere. Whenever I did succumb to boredom, I used to watch your matches, along with your microphone work, and it always brought a smile to my face without fail. Your 'devil's advocate' work was truly eye-opening, and I wished that the WWE could've gone further with that - so much potential wasted, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to say that.

Judging from what other people are saying, you were a kind-hearted, empathetic man, and that is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. If your ethic in life was to make not only yourself, but other people happy, then that's a man worth keeping in the world.

Honestly, it's still crazy to think that you've passed away at a relatively young age. Words won't ever do it justice, but I thank you with all my heart for enhancing my wrestling experience, and for emotionally touching more people out there. Today, we have lost a good man, husband, son, father, and friend to many. May God be with you at this precious time, and sincere condolences to your family.

Rest in peace, Sean O'Haire.

The Sean Haire that I got to know and love was a very intense man. Every move he made had thought behind it. I would like to think that he lived the rest of his life just as fully and intensely.

My condolences to his family, friends, and all those who's lives he touched. For now they must face the world without him.

I light this candle with love, respect, and hope in my heart that wherever Sean may be now, he knows warmth, joy, and peace.

I'm very shocked to hear about Sean's passing, for I was a fan of his wrestling in-ring work, skills, talents, and abilities in both WCW and(briefly) WWE,for he was a very talented wrestler who I was really hoping would return but alas that's sadly never happen. I'm very sad knowing that Sean is gone and no longer amongst us and I will forever remember his greatness as both a wrestler and as a kind person.

Posted by Mark Coleman - DEATH VALLEY, CA - UNDERTAKER   September 10, 2014

April 2002, I had just moved to OVW in Louisville Ky, and was to embark on a wrestling career. Sean was the first big wrestling star down there to make my move and new career path just a little bit smoother and way more fun to a very nervous rookie at the time. Instead of acting like an arrogant star, Sean from my very first day in training, did all he could to take me under his wing so to speak, showing me around town, and giving me advice, etc. I remember calling my friends from back home in Conn after my first week there telling them how this was the warmest, kindest, guy in the world at the time. Every single person in wrestling that met Sean could probably tell you the same thing! How he'd go out of his way to make sure ALL his friends were ALWAYS well taken care of at all times. Hands down, Sean may have had the most intimidating "look" to him, but who he was a a human being couldn't be any more opposite! So sorry to hear we lost one of the good guys here. thank you for everything you ever did for me Sean, and rest In peace my brother. Til we meet again.

Sean, you will be missed. I remember how we met.

It was 1999, I was in Atlanta, Georgia for my first tryout with WCW. What no one knew was that I went into it with a decimated left shoulder (I had partial reconstructive surgery the following year, which explains the big scar that I wear to this day). I really shouldn't have even been there with the injury.

As part of my evaluation, I was tasked by Paul Orndorff and company with wrestling opposite Sean O'Haire in an amateur-style match. As we were set to begin, I secretly said to him, "Please watch my left shoulder, it's gone."

With everyone watching, he didn't say a word. He simply looked me in the eye, and nodded a subtle "yes" in response.

We had our "match", which I put in quotes because at any point he could've yanked on my arm and exposed me, which would've showed everyone that I was hurt. If he chose to he could've easily embarrassed me physically. He didn't.

Instead, he worked with me. He took care of me, never touching my left arm, and really served to help me look better than I should have. And even though I ended up not signing WCW's contract, I have never ever forgotten what he did.

Godspeed, Sean O'Haire. Thank you again, and rest in peace.

Sean,

I've always been an avid wrestling fan since the late 80's. WCW was my brand; part of everyone's childhood (now long gone). And when 2000 came around you were one of the last wrestlers who had a positive, if any, effect on me. Loved the power in your character, the confidence, your spiked up hair and gotee; a style I still sport to this day. Loved your entrance music and.....The SEANTON BOMB....a move releasing everything you were. I know wrestling is just a physical performance but you touched many people. Saddens me you aren't here anymore. You were part of my late teen years, connects with childhood and youth. Now another piece of my childhood has broken off. But I'll always remember the affect you had on me and what that taught me about bringing your A-game everyday; not only in sports but as a person.

We all love you Sean and you were and still are championship material. But hey "I'M NOT TELLING YOU SOMETHING YOU DON"T ALREADY KNOW!!""

Rest in peace my friend.

All my love and prayers and blessings for you in heaven and your great family here on earth.

While your time with us may have been brief, you have given us many happy memories and times.

From your days in WCW and then making the crossover to the WWE, you truly stood out in a field where everyone is unique.

You were great in the ring, amazing on the mic, and got to work with many greats including Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, and many others.

What you gave in the ring and on camera, you gave tenfold off camera. You are one of the nicest people ever to be in the wrestling business. You always gave people your shoulder, your humor, and your care when they needed it. You truly epitomized what people who work in the business should be: a family.

We will all miss you and send our well wishes and prayers to your family and friends. I'm sure I speak for everyone in this book when I say that if your family and friends need that shoulder to lean on, we will gladly provide it the way you have done to us for so many years.

I got a chance to see you wrestle in july 2000 pretty much right after i graduated high school.

i had just got out of the event and headed to the bar connected to the arena to wait on my ride home... and you and a bunch of other wrestlers were sitting there hanging out after the show.

you treated me like i was a friend instead of a fan.

thank you so much for the autograph and the hand shake, i'll never ever forget all the years of watching you on tv.

This is such sad news and so very sudden. No one was expecting such a beautiful and wonderful man to pass so soon. He was always a joy and pleasure to watch on the screen as he wrestled his way through some tough fights. He was a great tag team champ and will always be remembered by all who saw him perform. RIP Sean.

As a fan of WCW in the early 90's, I can say I watched Sean debut in early 2000. I thought immediately he had a ton of talent. It sucks that he never got a huge push that I thought he deserved, but it happens. Thanks for the great memories, Sean. Rest in Peace.
